Put rumors to bed

Let's use Craig Meyers' death to finally put a stop to rumors and conspiracy theories about how young people are falling into the river.

There's a real reason 11 people have died after a night of drinking downtown since 1997, so let's all change our own habits to address that.

And for god's sake, don't leave your friends somewhere you wouldn't leave your cell phone.

Aren't upper-level classes supposed to be small?

Some university officials have commented that last year's budget cuts won't be having much of an effect on the quality of education. In fact, the student-to-teacher ratio should be dropping with GQA hiring, they said. Tell that to the management department. MGT 449, the capstone course for every CBA student, needed at least one more section to avert chaos. In MGT 486, rickety old desks had to be hauled in and put in the back to handle the overflow. The professors in these classes masterfully juggle more than 40 students, but they shouldn't have to. Newly hired professors are coming to the rescue, but those who believe the budget cuts and layoffs by attrition aren't affecting the quality of our education are misguided.
