Here are a few yummy treats for those cold winter days

Peppermint Delight

Nothing is too decadent this time of year!

Ingredients:

½ cup whole milk

½ cup heavy cream

1 cup white chocolate

1 teaspoon peppermint extract

Whipped cream for topping

Crushed peppermint or candy cane for topping

Directions:

Combine whole milk, heavy cream, white chocolate, and peppermint extract in a bowl or mug. Microwave until chocolate is melted, taking it out to stir occasionally. Top with whipped cream and candy.

 

Holiday White Hot Chocolate

A perfect drink for those long nights of studying!

Ingredients:

½ lb. Oreo cookies

1 stick butter

2 squares melted chocolate

1 quart peppermint ice cream, softened

Crushed peppermint or candy canes

Mix together the crushed Oreo cookies, butter, and melted chocolate. Press into 9"x13" pan. Spread the softened ice cream over the cookie crust. Top with cooled hot fudge. Freeze. Sprinkle with crushed candy canes before eating.

Hot fudge topping ingredients:

1 cup sugar

2 tablespoon flour

¼ teaspoon salt

1/3 cup cocoa

1 cup milk

Combine all ingredients. Heat it in the microwave for a few minutes, taking it out to stir occasionally. Let the fudge cool. Spread on top of the layer of ice cream.
