Do you want to keep on fest-ing for the second weekend of Oktoberfest? Well the Vibe is the place to be. This Saturday, October 6th, a benefit will be held for the victims of the devastating flood that struck Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Several up-and-coming bands will be performing. The first is Moon Boot Posse. The band's front man, Patrick Ryan, has been called, "One of today's more socially-conscience singer/songwriters in the music business. With catchy hooks and island breeze reggae, Patrick Ryan and Moon Boot Posse tap deeply into the vain music lovers" by Josh Baron of Relix Magazine located in New York. Patrick Ryan and Moon Boot Posse have been featured in Relix, FHM, Blender, High Times, Maxim, Campus Circle, The Onion, Cannabis Culture, WonkaVision, Paste, CMJ Music Monthly, Maximum Ink, and many more. Moon Boots Posse's sophomore album "Welcome to Los Angeles" was just recently released. Check out their song "I Stand Alone" and find learn more at myspace.com/patrickryanmusic.
The next featured band is Unity, which is one of the Midwest's best roots/reggae/rock bands from Chicago to Appleton. Known Boundaries will be there which includes members of Natty Nation's hip-hop/rock/reggae/rap band. Some say Known Boundaries is one of the tighter bands in Madison, Wisconsin.
A FREE bottle of Lacrosse Premium Water for all designated drivers at the door, portion of proceeds will go to Rock Foundation and the American Red Cross, and a portion of proceeds from beer sponsor will also go to both foundations. Phat Pauly of 95.7 THE ROCK will be emcee-ing this event (before and after each artist), Jagermister Girls will be present, Quizno's Subs give-aways, and much more! You get all of the give-aways and the privilege of listening to all of the bands for only a price between $5 and $7 at the door.
