Track teams win rain-soaked Esten Challenge

Despite dreary conditions, the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse men's and women's track teams each placed first in the Phil Esten Challenge last Friday at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The men's team finished with 257 team points, easily distancing themselves from second-place finisher UW-Eau Claire (159.50). UW-Stout (106.50), Wartburg College (79.0), and UW-River Falls (54.0) rounded out the top five.
The women had a closer margin of victory, scoring 198.5 team points to outlast UW-Eau Claire (180.75). Winona State (96.0) was third, UW-Stout (51.0) was fourth, and UW-River Falls was fifth with 47 team points.
