The UW-L no spin zone, brought to you by The Racquet’s editors

Coming back to school after an amazing break is hard enough. Dragging yourself to sit in a classroom when its so nice out is even worse. But what takes the cake is that the AC was broke. Was anyone else just a little hot early this week?

You never know how good you have it. I recently had the privilege of going to London over spring break. Don’t get me wrong, I had a blast; the whole trip was a lot of fun and I definitely want to go back some day. Not only that, but London is pretty cool. But it’s not home. From the whole driving on the wrong side of the road to crowded subways and cranky pedestrians, it certainly didn’t feel like home. I’ll take good old La Crosse Wisconsin any day of the week.

Its hard to believe that it is only March! I think most of us are certainly appreciative of the nice weather we have been having. Spring break week feels more like summer this year! And from what it looks like we should be getting more of it. At least for the next few days. I for one, have no problem with that.

Why do we get jobs or extra-curricular commitments if we are unwilling to put in the time necessary to the task? It frustrates me so much when people are unappreciative of the opportunities presented to them, and instead of seizing the opportunity, they slack to the max - forcing others to pick up their work. If you’re not going to commit, quit.

Ahhh, as the weather warms up all kinds of cute spring clothes make there way onto campus; sun dresses, tank tops and shorts. But there is one summer fashion that should be completely eliminated: jorts. Jeans shorts. Sure I own a few pairs of cutoffs, this is acceptable because I’m female and have shapely legs. But any man seen in jorts should evacuate the premises immediately.
